User System Compatibility with Viewing Conditions

Updated: 2026-08-17 11:27:00

Differences Between User System and Viewer System

  • User System (Account Level) 👍

    • Globally unified user identifier (viewerunionid)
    • Supports multiple login methods (WeChat, phone number, WeCom, external authorization)
    • Facilitates building a unified user profile
    • Beneficial for cross-channel data analysis
  • Viewer System (Channel Level)

    • Defines user identity per channel, using viewerid as the identifier
    • The same user has different identities across different channels
    • Changes in viewing conditions may generate a new viewerid

User System Login/Registration Methods

The user system supports login on channels, aggregation pages, information feeds, etc. Login/registration methods can be chosen based on business needs. New users are registered upon login.

Effects of different login/registration methods on various client sides:

  1. Within WeChat, default WeChat authorization, can switch to phone number

  1. Within WeCom, default WeCom authorization, can switch to phone number

  1. Non-WeChat/WeCom mobile browsers, default phone number, can switch to WeChat/WeCom authorization

  1. Non-WeChat/WeCom PC browsers, default phone number, can switch to WeChat/WeCom authorization

1. How the User System is Compatible with Viewing Conditions

First, the user must complete login or registration in the user system, obtaining a unified user identifier (viewerunionid). This identifier is unique across all channels. Then, it determines whether the user meets the viewing conditions for a specific channel. The advantage of this approach is the separation of identity verification and permission control: the user system handles unified identity authentication, while viewing conditions handle permission control for specific channels.

2. User System Compatible with Public Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization, WeCom authorization, or phone number login in the user system, then enter the channel.

3. User System Compatible with WeChat Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization in the user system, then enter the channel. If the user system supports multiple login methods, only the WeChat authorization login method will be displayed in channels with viewing conditions set to WeChat viewing.

4. User System Compatible with Whitelist Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization, WeCom authorization, or phone number login in the user system, then enter the whitelist membership code, determine if conditions are met, and then enter the channel.

When operators enter whitelist data in the management console, they may configure a nickname. This nickname will be used when viewers speak/interact. In this case, the nickname entered in the whitelist takes priority; if none exists, the nickname from the user system is used.

When operators enter whitelist data in the management console, there is no need to pre-associate it with a user system user. The association is established when a user system user uses that membership code.

5. User System Compatible with Paid Viewing

Since paid viewing currently only supports WeChat Pay, users must first go through WeChat authorization in the user system, then make the payment, and then enter the channel. Non-WeChat mobile browsers do not currently support WeChat Pay, so users should be guided to access via WeChat first.

6. User System Compatible with Password Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization, WeCom authorization, or phone number login in the user system, then enter the password, determine if conditions are met, and then enter the channel.

7. User System Compatible with Registration Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization, WeCom authorization, or phone number login in the user system, then fill out a form, and then enter the channel.

8. User System Compatible with Invitation Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization, WeCom authorization, or phone number login in the user system, then determine the user's identity (whether they are an inviter or a client bound to an inviter), check if the invitation viewing conditions are met, and then enter the channel.

9. User System Compatible with WeCom Viewing

Users must first go through WeChat authorization, WeCom authorization, or phone number login in the user system, then determine the user's identity (whether they are a WeCom employee or a WeCom contact bound to an employee), check if the WeCom viewing conditions are met, and then enter the channel.
