Adding a CNAME Record on the Domain Resolution Platform

When configuring a custom domain, you need to add a CNAME record on the domain resolution service provider's backend. Once the resolution takes effect, the Polyv backend can complete the custom domain binding.
Prerequisites
Before configuration, please complete the following preparations:
- You have entered the custom domain configuration process in the Polyv backend.
- You have reached Step 2 and can see the host record, record type, and record value provided by the system.
- You have confirmed which platform manages the resolution for the current domain.
The domain registrar and the domain resolution service provider may not be the same company. Please go to the platform that actually manages the domain resolution to add the CNAME record.
Common DNS Service Provider Entry Points
If you are unsure where to configure the CNAME, first confirm which platform manages the resolution for the current domain, then navigate to the DNS resolution page of the corresponding platform.

Steps
- Log in to the domain resolution service provider's backend.
- Navigate to the domain resolution or DNS resolution management page.
- Select the domain you need to configure.
- Add a new resolution record.
- Fill in the information as displayed on the Polyv backend page:

- Save the resolution record.
- Return to the Polyv backend and click Resolution Check.
Check Result Explanation
- If the check passes, the system completes the domain binding and proceeds to the completion page.
- If the check fails, verify that the host record, record type, and record value match the information displayed on the Polyv backend.
Notes
- Field names may vary slightly across different domain resolution service providers. Please refer to the actual page of the service provider's backend.
- CNAME resolution may take some time to take effect.
- If there are conflicting resolution records under the same host record, handle them according to the domain resolution service provider's rules before configuring.
- If the domain is managed by another colleague or service provider, provide the CNAME information shown in Step 2 of the Polyv backend to the corresponding administrator for processing.
