Using the Cloud Studio Switcher

Updated: 2025-11-20 15:01:51
  1. Using the studio switcher allows switching between multiple live streams;
  2. First, log in to the Polyv Cloud Live Streaming backend;
  3. Add a live source using one of four methods (client push, third-party push, third-party pull, or on-demand acquisition);
  4. Open the studio switcher interface to switch between streams;
  5. After using the studio switcher, click "Stop Switching" and then close the page.

Additionally, the studio switcher provides a delayed output feature. How do you use it?

  Step 1: Before starting the switcher, click the settings button in the top-right corner to add a backup video and set the delayed output time. For example, if the delayed output time is set to 10 seconds, after switching the preview screen to the live stream, the current live stream content will be delayed by 10 seconds compared to the preview screen.
  Step 2: The delayed output feature is typically used together with a backup video. After setting the delayed output, the operator can monitor the audio and video of the preview screen. In special situations, click the "Switch to Backup Video" button in the top-right corner, and the live stream will immediately switch to the pre-set backup video. Once the special situation is over, you can switch the preview screen back to the live stream (due to the delayed output setting, the live stream will still appear 10 seconds later than the preview screen). Combining delayed output with the backup video feature helps ensure higher content quality from the live stream to the viewer page.
