FAQ: Document Upload

Issue 1: Uploaded document shows "Waiting to upload" indefinitely

This is mostly caused by network issues. Try switching networks and retrying.

Issue 2: PPT upload shows "Transcoding failed"

Cause 1: The PPT uses incompatible fonts or styles. Solution: Convert to PDF and re-upload, or adjust the PPT fonts and formatting before re-uploading. Recommended fonts include: (1) SimSun, SimHei, FangSong, FZYaoti (license required), HYZhongSong (license required), Microsoft YaHei (license required), KaiTi. These fonts display both Chinese and English content clearly and neatly. (2) Avoid using YouYuan and LiSu fonts for Chinese text, as they may cause text compression. (3) When using Microsoft YaHei, do not use the Microsoft YaHei Light version.

Cause 2: The uploaded PPT is encrypted. Solution: Remove encryption from the PPT and re-upload.

Cause 3: The PPT exceeds size limits. Documents must not exceed 500MB and must not exceed 1000 pages. Solution: Compress some images in the PPT or upload the PPT in sections.

Cause 4: The PPT file itself is corrupted. Solution: Save the PPT as a new file and re-upload.

Issue 3: Font misalignment after animation transcoding for PPT files

Animation transcoding only supports .ppt and .pptx file formats. PPT files saved using software like WPS or Keynote may have compatibility issues, potentially causing format changes after transcoding. It is recommended to open the file using Microsoft Office (any version), check and adjust the format layout, save it again, and then upload.

Issue 4: Slow PPT transcoding speed

Slow transcoding speed is related to the number of tasks being processed, document size, and device resources. It is affected by the task queue and document size. Please wait patiently; it is recommended to upload documents in advance.

Issue 5: Images not displaying after PPT upload

This is caused by abnormal image upload methods in the original file. Solution: Convert to PDF and upload, or re-insert the images and re-upload.

Issue 6: Shadows on images after PDF upload

Edge shadows can appear after multiple rounds of transcoding and compression. Solution: Replace the images and re-upload.

Issue 7: Slides auto-advance after uploading an animated PPT

The animated PPT has an automatic playback time set. Solution: Uncheck the automatic playback time setting in the local PPT and re-upload the PPT courseware.

Issue 8: Font appears bolder after static transcoding when using SimHei

When SimHei is bolded and uploaded, the font becomes thicker. This is a WPS issue that cannot be avoided currently. Solution: Remove the bold formatting and re-upload.

Issue 9: Missing content after PPT transcoding

Cause 1: The original PPT file has rich animation effects. The document does not support animation transcoding in pure video mode, so text with animation effects may be missing.

Cause 2: The PPT contains paid font materials.

Solution: Convert to PDF and re-upload, or adjust the PPT fonts and formatting before re-uploading. It is recommended to use free fonts such as SimSun, SimHei, FangSong, FZYaoti (license required), HYZhongSong (license required), Microsoft YaHei (license required), and KaiTi. For specific requirements, refer to the official document requirements and suggestions.

Issue 10: Blurry PPT after upload

The transcoding process inherently compresses image quality, which can cause blurriness after upload. If image quality is critical, it is recommended to display the PPT using screen sharing.

Issue 11: Unclear text display after PPT upload

It is recommended to use fonts such as SimSun, SimHei, FangSong, FZYaoti (license required), HYZhongSong (license required), Microsoft YaHei (license required), and KaiTi for PPT text. These fonts display both Chinese and English content clearly and neatly.

Issue 12: PPT shows 25 pages locally but 26 pages after upload, with an extra page in the middle

The local PPT has a hidden page. During the transcoding process after upload, the hidden page content is revealed. Solution: Check the local PPT for hidden content, delete it, and re-upload.

Issue 13: No sound when playing videos within an uploaded PPT

Audio playback is not supported. Solution: Use screen sharing to play videos within the PPT.

Issue 14: Blurry PPT in recorded playback

Poor network conditions result in a low frame rate during the live stream, causing the PPT to appear blurry in the recording. Solution: Switch to a good network environment for the live stream, or use the document upload method to display the PPT, which will result in higher clarity in the recording.

Issue 15: Overlapping text after PPT file upload

The font layout in the file is too dense. The document area has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which can compress the text. Solution: Convert to a PDF document and upload to prevent this issue.
