Updated: 2026-06-24 18:34:22
To access, share, or authorize via a custom domain within WeChat, you need to configure this custom domain on the WeChat Official Platform.
After configuration, the custom domain can be used for access within WeChat and supports WeChat sharing, WeChat authorization, and official account-related features.
Prerequisites
Before configuration, please confirm:
- The custom domain configuration on the Polyv backend has been completed.
- The custom domain can access the corresponding page normally.
- You have the management permissions for the corresponding official account on the WeChat Official Platform.
- The domain verification file has been prepared as required by the WeChat Official Platform.
Domain Types to Configure
| Configuration Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Business Domain | Used for accessing official account-related web pages within WeChat |
| JS Interface Security Domain | Used for invoking WeChat JS-SDK capabilities under this domain, e.g., WeChat sharing |
| Web Page Authorization Domain | Used for WeChat web page authorization-related capabilities |
Steps
- Log in to the WeChat Official Platform.
- Navigate to the official account settings or feature settings page.
- Configure the Business Domain, JS Interface Security Domain, and Web Page Authorization Domain as required by the WeChat Official Platform.
- Download the domain verification file provided by the WeChat Official Platform.
- Return to the Polyv backend, go to [Brand Settings] - [Custom Domain].
- Click [Upload Verification File].
- Upload the verification file provided by the WeChat Official Platform.
- Return to the WeChat Official Platform to complete domain verification.
- Save the configuration on the WeChat Official Platform.
Verification File Description
The WeChat Official Platform typically requires the verification file to be placed in the root directory of the domain. After uploading the verification file via the Polyv backend, the WeChat Official Platform can access it via the following address:
https://自定义域名/文件名
Notes
- The domain configured on the WeChat Official Platform must match the custom domain already configured on the Polyv backend.
- If the WeChat Official Platform requires uploading multiple verification files, you can upload them separately on the Polyv backend.
- File names under the same custom domain must not be duplicated.
- Deleting a verification file may affect subsequent re-verification of domain ownership by third-party platforms.
- If a custom official account is not configured, viewers can still access the page via the custom domain within WeChat, but WeChat-related features will be unavailable.
