Product Overview
Introduction
Polyv is committed to enhancing the security of video playback and protecting your video resources. Polyv has developed its own encoder and decoder (player), no longer relying on standard encoders or browser-based video players for playback. The VRM (Video Rights Management) solution has also evolved to version 13.0. Compared to version 12.0 encryption, the new VRM version fixes numerous security vulnerabilities, including significant security improvements for the web-based HTML5 player and native iOS/Android C++ SDKs, as well as the adoption of Polyv's patented encryption algorithm for video transcoding, ensuring maximum security for video files.
Glossary
VRM13: VRM13 is the 2.0 version of private encryption, using proprietary encoding. It can only be played on Polyv's dedicated player.
VRM13 Player: Refers to a player that supports VRM13 playback. The VRM13 player is also compatible with non-VRM13 authorized video playback, though the playback method differs. For example, VRM9 videos will be played using the browser's video player for compatibility.
pdx, pts: Polyv proprietary encrypted file formats.
Target Users:
- Users whose videos are maliciously cracked and downloaded.
- Users whose videos are maliciously screen-recorded.
- Customers using Polyv VRM12 or below.
Product Features:
- [Private Encryption Algorithm] On top of HLS standard encryption, it implements high-strength private encryption, making videos more difficult to crack and record.
- [Private Encoder/Player] Supports independent video decoding and rendering, no longer relying on the browser's built-in decoding capabilities.
- [Dynamic Watermark] Supports adding dynamic watermarks to videos, which do not disappear in full-screen mode. This not only serves as a deterrent but also enables traceability for subsequent piracy incidents.
