Polyv Viewing Plugin Category Application Qualification Requirements

• This document explains the service categories and related qualifications that a Mini Program must have when applying to use the "Polyv Viewing" plugin.
• The following categories are the current admission scope of the "Polyv Viewing" plugin and do not represent WeChat's unified requirements for all live streaming plugins.
• Mini Programs applying to use this plugin must be non-individual entities in mainland China.
• WeChat may adjust service categories and application materials based on policies, laws and regulations, and platform requirements. When submitting an application, please refer to the service categories offered by WeChat and the actual review requirements.

The "Polyv Viewing" plugin currently supports the following Mini Program service categories:

Whether the plugin can ultimately be applied for and used is subject to what is displayed on the plugin application page and the result of WeChat's review.

The above screenshots are used to confirm that the referenced plugin is "Polyv Viewing" and do not mean that the integrator can skip the category review of its own Mini Program.

Education Services - Online Video Courses

This category applies to the education industry providing educational video or live streaming services such as online courses, online training, and lectures.

The qualification requirement is one of the following 5 materials:

1. Public schools provide the "Public Institution Legal Person Certificate";
2. Training institutions provide one of the "Private School Operating License", the "Non-Academic Off-Campus Training Institution Training License", or the "Cultural and Arts Off-Campus Training Institution Review Opinion Letter";
3. Filing on the National Off-Campus Education and Training Supervision and Service Comprehensive Platform;
4. Approval documents from the education department;
5. The "Information Network Dissemination Audiovisual Program License".

Explanation of Course-Selling Entities Such as Knowledge Payment, Health and Wellness, and Hobbies

Categories and qualifications are subject to WeChat's latest operational requirements. Reference announcement: Summary Announcement of Mini Program Category Adjustments (2026.07.11-2026.10.23).

WeChat's Requirements

• Education Services - Course Sales: Applies to providing services such as online course sales. Qualifications include the "Non-Commercial Internet Information Service Filing Approval" or the "Value-Added Telecommunications Business Operating License" (approved service items include Internet information services), the "Business License" (business scope must include education consulting services), and the Mini Program's mechanism or plan for handling user transaction disputes (with official seal).
• Education Services - Course Sales Platform: Applies to providing services such as online course sales for multiple institutional entities. The qualification is the "Value-Added Telecommunications Business Operating License" (approved service items include "online data processing and transaction processing business").
• For the above two categories, if educational video/live streaming such as online courses, online training, and lectures is provided, [Education Services - Online Video Courses] must be added; if in-app purchases and transactions within the Mini Program need to be implemented on non-iOS platforms such as Android, Mini Program Virtual Payment must be integrated.

Our Recommendations

• Entities such as those in knowledge payment, health and wellness, and hobbies that do not have one of the 5 qualifications for "Online Video Courses" are advised to primarily apply for [Education Services - Course Sales] or [Education Services - Course Sales Platform].
• If educational video/live streaming is still provided within the Mini Program, the "Online Video Courses" category may be required in addition; without the corresponding qualifications, there is a risk of review failure or rectification, so please evaluate according to WeChat's rules.
• The current admission of the "Polyv Viewing" plugin still only includes "Education Services - Online Video Courses" and "E-commerce Platform - E-commerce Platform". If you only have course sales categories, you cannot use this plugin by default; you may refer to the Mini Program Solution Selection Guide to evaluate solutions such as WebView H5 viewing pages or viewing page SDKs.
• For purchasing courses within Mini Programs on non-iOS platforms such as Android, Mini Program Virtual Payment must be integrated according to WeChat's requirements.

E-commerce Platform - E-commerce Platform

This category applies to platforms that provide online trading venues for enterprises or individuals, that is, platforms that provide trading venues for multiple operators. Self-operated product sales should choose the corresponding category based on actual business.

Applying for this category requires providing all of the following materials:

1. The "Value-Added Telecommunications Business Operating License", with approved service items including "online data processing and transaction processing business";
2. E-commerce platform service agreement and trading rules;
3. The e-commerce platform's review requirements or specification documents for settled operators;
4. The e-commerce platform's mechanism or plan for handling user transaction disputes.
