POLYV Backend Screen Recording Video Clarity Optimization Guide

Updated: 2022-05-24 14:25:56

The POLYV platform has recently introduced a video clarity optimization solution, which optimizes clarity for different types of videos to ensure the best playback performance for each type.

Videos currently uploaded to the POLYV cloud video platform can be categorized into screen recording videos and non-screen recording videos based on the degree of scene change.

Screen recording videos, due to minimal scene changes, can achieve high-definition playback even under high compression ratios. Therefore, POLYV has introduced a video encoding process for screen recording videos that does not compress the video resolution.

Non-screen recording videos, on the other hand, involve significant scene changes. During encoding, the resolution must be compressed accordingly.

Before uploading videos on the POLYV backend, users should determine their video type (screen recording or non-screen recording) and decide whether to enable the courseware optimization option. For screen recording videos, the courseware optimization option can be selected; for non-screen recording videos, this option should not be selected.
