How POLYV Video Space Traffic Is Calculated (FAQ Topic 8)

Users of the POLYV cloud video service know that the POLYV backend provides four types of video file storage (the bitrate of the original video file must exceed that of the ultra-clear video): ultra-clear video files, high-definition video files, smooth video files, and original video files. The first three types are video files obtained through transcoding by the POLYV backend, while the last type is the video file uploaded by the user themselves.

1. POLYV Space Calculation (You consume as much as you upload) The video space provided by POLYV for users only refers to the space occupied by the video files uploaded by the user. The space occupied by transcoded video files is not counted. Therefore, the larger the video file a user uploads, the more video space they will consume.

2. POLYV Traffic Calculation (Different clarity levels consume different traffic) Under normal circumstances, playing a smooth version of a video for one hour requires 90M of traffic, while playing a high-definition version for one hour requires 225M of traffic.

POLYV offers different video packages based on different user needs, using varying video space and traffic to meet the requirements of different users. Thus, multiple video packages are set up to accommodate different users. At the same time, users can flexibly adjust the video space and traffic within their video packages.
