Webinar Participation Overview

Using web-based seminars, users can participate in online seminars and collaborate through a browser without needing to download or install a client, significantly reducing reliance on hardware environments. However, it is also important to ensure that the computer is equipped with basic hardware such as a camera and microphone.

Recommended Environment

  To ensure a stable seminar, we need to prepare the following:

I. Hardware Preparation

  Use a computer and seminar auxiliary equipment that meet the hardware requirements of the seminar. You can refer to the configuration we provide and choose according to your actual needs. The most basic seminar requires a computer, a camera, and a microphone.

  Graphics Card: Dedicated 2GB graphics card or above
  CPU: i5 or above
  Memory: 8GB or above
  【Optional Hardware】
  Recording: External camera, camcorder + capture card
  Audio: Lavalier microphone, headset microphone, professional microphone
  Output: Headphones, external speakers
  On-site: Green, red, blue screens
  Network: Ethernet cable, 4G network aggregator

II. Network Environment

  The network affects the stability of participation. It is recommended to use a wired network. If using Wi-Fi or a mobile network, ensure the signal is stable in the participation venue.
  Seminar stability is affected by upload bandwidth. The upload bandwidth should be at least 2Mbps, and we recommend 4Mbps or higher. If you are unsure of your upload bandwidth speed, you can open this website to test (Bandwidth test URL: http://www.speedtest.cn）).
  Open the webpage, select a nearby node. If it is already the local node, the default is fine.
  Click "Start Test" and wait for the result. After the test, check the "Upload" bandwidth. If the upload bandwidth is less than 4Mbps, please switch to a more stable network with higher bandwidth to avoid affecting the normal seminar.

III. Browser Preparation (Applicable to Web Seminars)

  If you initiate a seminar using the web version, it is recommended to use the latest Google Chrome browser or browsers based on the Chrome engine, such as QQ Browser, 360 Speed Browser, etc. Currently, browsers like Safari, Firefox, and IE are not supported for initiating seminars.

IV. Prepare the Seminar Channel

  Log in to the backend of the Polyv official website, create a seminar, and you will obtain the participation URL and password.
